Article 16 of the ASEAN Charter sets the framework for ASEAN's engagement with entities that support the purposes and principles of the Charter, listed in Annex 2 of the Charter. There are currently Eighty-One (81) entities registered under Annex 2, as follow:

| > | Business Organisations | : Sixteen (16) Entities |
| > | Think Tank and Academic Institutions | : Five (5) Entities |
| > | Accredited Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) | : Fourty-Eight (48) Entities |
| > | Other Stakeholders in ASEAN | : Ten (10) Entities |
Entities associated with ASEAN are entrusted with several privileges such as using ASEAN name and logo, as well as tapping in to ASEAN Project Cooperation system.
